After Naomi & Ruth's return to Bethlehem things start to fall into place for them. God surprises them by giving Ruth favor in the eyes of the landowner Boaz, who lets her glean the edges of his field for grain. Hope seems to be rising as it becomes evident that Boaz is in fact a relative of Naomi's, a mysterious, so-called "kinsmen redeemer". Will he redeem Ruth from her plight as widow in a foreign land?
