For the Christian being steadfast under trial results in receiving the crown of life. This call for endurance also applies for our fight against temptation. We need to understand that God doesn't tempt us, but that we are tempted when we are lured away by our own evil desires. The key to overcoming temptation is to have greater desires for God than for sin.
