Kingly Stories: Weeds

September 11, 2015 Preacher: Series: The King and his Beauty

Topic: Sermon Passage: Matthew 13:24–43

Jesus continues to speak to the crowds in parables. He moves from seeds to weeds, explaining how the kingdom of heaven is like a field on which good crops and bad weeds grow side by side. Only on the day of the harvest will weeds be gathered to be burnt up. This is a picture of the "Day of the Lord". In light of this day Jesus urges us: "He who has ears, let him hear."
