The Apostle John writes to a local church, which he calls the "elect lady". He assures them of his love for them and the grace, mercy and peace they have received from God. This assurance of knowing the truth and being loved by God, should empower this church to obey God's command to love one another. Has God's love for us caused us to overflow with love for one another in the context of the local church?
