Topic: Sermon Passage: Genesis 19:16–19:30
A rich young man asks Jesus what good deed one must do to have eternal life. The man affirms that he has kept the commandments and expects Jesus to approve of his piety. Yet, Jesus sees through the man's external works and sees an idolatrous heart that loves money. Humanly speaking it is impossible for us to gain eternal life, but with God all things are possible.
