The plot thickens as the Romans and the Jewish leaders conspire to kill the Messiah. As Jesus hangs dying on the cross, he feels the crushing weight of the Father's wrath upon him. Through his death, the curtain that separated sinful man from the presence of the holy God is torn in two. Our only response to this gift of love is to say with the roman centurion at the foot of the cross "Truly this was the Son of God!"
