Putting Skin in the Game

Passage: Isaiah 42:6

This is a prophecy about the Lord's chosen servant. The Spirit is upon him and he will bring forth justice. In verse six we read that he will be given as a covenant for the people. Jesus is the fulfillment of this prophecy. God "puts skin in the game", taking on human flesh and dwelling among us. Jesus is given and he himself gives his life as a ransom for many. He ushers in a new covenant sealed in his precious blood.
