Pastor Josh Manley continues our series in Genesis: New Beginnings. The sermon text is Genesis 14:1-24 and is entitled Divine Deliverance; Divine Blessing.
The LORD continues to show his covenant faithfulness to Abram. First, he empowers Abram to deliver Lot out of the hands of his enemies. And then, he employs the priest-king Melchizedek to pronounce blessing on Abram. All of this foreshadows our Lord Jesus Christ who is our eternal high priest of the order of Melchizedek, bringing us both divine deliverance and blessing.
