The Destined Day

This Friday, we commemorated Good Friday, the day which marks the crucifixion of our LORD Jesus Christ. The public and humiliating execution of the very Son of God is the greatest evil that has ever been committed by the hands of human beings. And yet, the Scriptures tell us that Jesus’ death was not an accident, but that everything took place according the definite plan and foreknowledge of God.

If this is true of the most evil event in history, how much more does it apply to the evils we face. Our God reigns over it all, and none of it is outside of his sovereign will.
